This silver coin commemorates the first known prince in Poland. He was son of Siemomysł and was in charge of the government between the years 960 and 992. During his mandate the inhabitants of the state changed their religious thoughts to the cirstianismo and proclaimed Duke of Poland in the year 962.
He was the creator of the State of Poland, since he ruled over the tribe of the Polanos. In later years he tried to conquer other nearby places, coming to seize a part of Silesia and Pomerania.
